THE BITTER DISAPPOINTMENT CALLED MOLDOVA
'Like people like government" said Carlyle and he was right. Probably we do not deserve a better future. We managed to convince ourselves that evil is what we merit, and here we are drowning in the same muck. Moldova, this is our destiny. Do not dare to hope for better. You do not deserve it!!! If the whole world is striving for a CHANGE Moldova is sticking to its fatalism which is a 'deadly adversary'.
The country was on the verge of an abyss. Congratulations, we are now at its bottom and I'm sorry I do not see any light here. It is terrible how we sentence our children to life darkness. We deprive them the right to live in a democratic country as they do not deserve a better future too.
I cannot help complimenting the communists who have managed to brainwash the people to such an extent that they forgot why they have brains in their heads.
But I know that deep down in her heart Moldova is not red!!! Simply forgotten.

THE JOKE OF THE DAY
Two months ago we celebrated The International Women's Day. That was nice indeed. Men presented their soul-mates with wonderful presents. They were queens for a day.
However, not many men know that there is a day in the year when they indulge being kings for a day (November 19).
One of my friends who had no idea about it felt discriminated. Being a generous nature I decided to help him and came up with MAN'S DAY MANIFESTO which says:
We, the women of the 21st century make an appeal to the MANkind to do MEN some justice. As we fight for our rights and (inexistent) equality we have to confess that we committed a gross mistake when we did not think of celebrating a man’s day. You might ask why do they need such a day if they have us, the ones who make all their life a never-ending holiday? However, let us consider their hurt feelings when they see us happy on one day of the year (unlike us, they are not supposed to make our life a never-ending holiday). Ladies, we are being selfish!!!! That is why let us elaborate a set of principles we should follow on the would-be man’s day and officially establish the date.
Thus, on man’s day, we, the women of the 21st century, solemnly swear to:
worship men
agree with everything they say even if it is mere nonsense
glue our mouth with tape
bind our eyes
close our ears
Therefore, we should think of a date. It is not an easy task as it has to be extremely symbolic. It should be resounding in its meaning. And after seconds of thorough thought, we have come to the conclusion that no other date can better fit our noble goals than the 1st of April. So be prepared to hear the ‘you-are-the-best-thing-that-could-happen-to-me’ thing on the 1st of April. HAPPY MAN’S DAY!!! :) :) :)
We had a good laugh and I hope you'll have too.
By the way, it is a good idea to challenge your students to think of a holiday of their own.
